Welcome to Burlington Sailing and Boating Club Sail School

Adult Lessons

Our adult lessons, taught on either a Keelboat or Dinghy, allow you to learn to sail without owning a boat, receive creative and competent instruction, all while starting to experience a life long sport. We provide suitable course materials for mature students.

Adult Dinghy 2019

$450 per session

Our dinghy lessons are taught to CANSail standards in our Echo and 420 class sailboats. These boats are some of the newest in the club's fleet, and are great to learn in. This course introduces sailors to sailing fundamentals such as balance in a sailboat, basic rigging, steering, points of sail, boat parts, sheeting & the skill set needed to sail a sloop rig boat. From the very basics of sailing right through to high level technical control, we have great equipment for you to learn to sail in.
